CSHA LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

2012 LEGISLATIVE SESSION The Connecticut General Assembly (CGA) is a part-time legislature that meets for approximately three (3) months in even-numbered years (typically referred to as a “short session”) and five (5) months in odd-numbered years (typically referred to as a “long session”). In even-numbered years, session begins on the first Wednesday after the first Monday in February and concludes not later than the first Wednesday after the first Monday in May. In odd-numbered years, session begins on the first Wednesday after the first Monday in January and concludes not later than the first Wednesday after the first Monday in June. 2012 is a short, 3 month session and runs from February 8 to May 9, 2012. ***LOOK for the Third Annual CSHA Lobby Day “save the date” announcement here at the CSHA website in October, 2011.
