Award Nominations

Do you know someone who has performed valuable services for CSHA or our clients?

You can write a brief nomination letter for either of the following CSHA Honors and send it to our Recording Secretary ( Secretary@ctspeechhearing.org ) by Feb. 15 to make a nomination. Awards are conferred at the CSHA Spring Conference.

CSHA Awards

Honors of the Association: Recognizes an individual or organization that has made unique and extensive contributions to the welfare of people with communicative disorders and their families in the State of Connecticut.

Distinguished Service Award: Recognizes contributions of a member of CSHA to the Association and its purposes and activities. The contribution may be a single effort of outstanding quality or continued service in a variety of activities which enhance the goals and purposes of the Association.

You can also nominate CSHA members for Honors conferred by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation. These include:

The Frank R. Kleffner Clinical Career Award

Individuals demonstrating significant contributions to clinical science and practice over a 20-year career are eligible for nomination by fellow professionals to receive a recognition award. Supported by the Kleffner Fund.

Louis M. DiCarlo Award for Clinical Achievement

Individuals demonstrating significant contributions to advancing knowledge in clinical practice within the past 6 years are eligible for nomination by state associations to receive a recognition award. Supported by the DiCarlo Fund.

The Rolland J. Van Hattum Award for Contribution in the Schools

Individuals demonstrating a significant contribution to the delivery of audiology and/or speech-language pathology services in the schools are eligible for nomination by fellow professionals to receive a recognition award. Supported by the Rolland J. Van Hattum Memorial Fund. Nominations are now being accepted. Nominations for these Honors are due at ASHA by April 1 each year.
