This presentation will provide an overview of the latest research in stuttering assessment and treatment in school-aged children.  Impact of stuttering on school related activities and academics will be discussed. Vocal Fold Pathologies: Diagnosis and Management
Presented by Nikita Kohli, MD, Assistant Professor, Yale School of Medicine – Otolaryngology Division, and  Physician, Yale New Haven Hospital

This presentation will detail vocal fold anatomy, common phonotraumatic lesions of the vocal folds, and an evidence-based approached to medical, surgical, and therapeutic management. The anatomy and stroboscopic findings of these lesions will be demonstrated. The role of office-based treatment for these lesions will be discussed in detail. Further, an emphasis on multidisciplinary management among the laryngology and speech language pathologist will be placed with a focus on shared decision-making.
