As the disruption brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we are grateful to all who have expressed interest in ASHA’s Assistants Certification Program and hope you are well. Even as we are dealing with new routines, there are still ways for assistants to take steps forward and prepare for the upcoming ASHA Assistants Certification.
Here are a few ways you can begin to prepare:
- Review the ASHA audiology assistants and SLPA eligibility pathways so you can ensure that you are on track to apply for certification this fall.
- View our resources for certification, including the Audiology Assistants [PDF] and SLPA [PDF] Exam Blueprints, the Assistants Code of Conduct, and the Audiology Assistants Certification Standards and SLPA Certification Standards. The national exams are based on the Exam Blueprints.
- Commit to pursuing certification, and decide how it can help you showcase your skillset as you advance in your career!
Looking for more ways to prepare in the coming months? Keep an eye on our web pages— ASHA Assistants Program and ASHA Assistants—for updates on the application launch, education module availability, and exam scheduling details. We always welcome your questions, so please email us at assistants@asha.org.
Stay safe, stay positive, and keep moving forward.
