Dear Prospective Participant,
You are invited to participate in a survey to explore the effects of graduate school and post-grad training in literacy on SLPs’ confidence in implementing literacy intervention. This study is being conducted as a master’s thesis project with the support of a faculty sponsor through the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Western Kentucky University. The purpose of this survey is to investigate the kinds of education SLPs have received in the area of literacy and their confidence in implementing intervention. Your responses are very helpful no matter the setting in which you may currently work.
The survey consists of 10 questions and is estimated to take 5-10 minutes to complete. Your participation in this online survey would be greatly appreciated.
The University Internal Review Board (IRB) requires informed consent for any participant in this study. Submission of your survey response implies consent for use in the results of this study. Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time without any consequence or influence on membership status as an SLP in any given organization. The final, stamped, and approved version of the IRB Consent is within the survey.
